My love of photography began many years ago, after I'd taken all of the painting and drawing classes I could take in college. My youngest sister gave me the first camera I ever owned, a Pentax K1000. I used it faithfully until 2007, which is when I ventured into digital imaging.
With more than 10 years of experience fiddling around with Photoshop, and almost double that time in traditional darkrooms, I think I know my way around an image. Sure, I can do manipulation and color correction - but I still believe that nothing beats a solidly composed, unaltered image. And while digital technology makes everything much more convenient,
I kinda miss the serenity of the darkroom.
